Tjong A Fie's Mansion, Medan

4.2
#1 of 40 in Museums in Sumatra
Take a tour of Tjong A Fie's Mansion to get a sense of the hybrid Chinese-European architectural style typical of Peranakan Cina--ethnic Chinese who emigrated to the Malay peninsula. Completed in 1900, the mansion belonged to the eponymous Chinese magnate who came to own much of the land in Medan through his plantations. A guide provides a basic overview of each room, as well as some background on the family and the legacy of Tjong A Fie. If the tour seems to be over too quickly, ask to continue looking around, and you can wander through the elegantly decorated rooms at your leisure. • If a visit has to be guided and tips of liver seikhlas aja. Soalnya guidenya friendly and insightful as well. Of course, karna mbaknya Tourism graduates. Important guidenya her beautiful and still single, unfortunately the ga can take home hehe. I kmrn tmn2 and I came early morning around 9 hours late. For the 1st floor the hell eggk is no problem, create a title on the 2nd floor because there is still much for hours on activity of hygiene, instead it should be if open 9 means already clean all before guests come to visit?. This is why it's been open, but there are still activities cleanliness?. To input the kpd Organizer, time of visit and cleanliness please conditioned so that the tdk interfere with pengununjung. Thank you..

  • Great place. I feel like i travel back in time. They're doing a good job maintaining most of the household items and make a great replica when the chairs/table is broken
  • Wonderful time spent here absorbing the feel of this old home, looking at the photos and getting some insight into the past. You have to pay extra for a guide even though the ticket states guided tour...maybe it was because we are not locals?? 35,000 entry per person.
