On the 3rd (Mon), steep yourself in history at Abbey of Saint-Hilaire, steep yourself in history at Cathar Castles, pause for some serene contemplation at Eglise Saint-Nazaire, then step into the grandiose world of Chateau Comtal, and finally wander the streets of Carcassonne Medieval City.

Most travelers take a trip to Bayeux to see the famed tapestry depicting the legendary Norman Conquest from the 11th century.
Popular historic sites such as Museum of the Battle of Normandy and Saint Catherine's Church are in your itinerary. Memorial of Caen and Pegasus Memorial (Memorial Pegasus) will appeal to museum buffs. When in Bayeux, make a side trip to see Beny-sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery in Reviers, approximately 46 minutes away. There's still lots to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Notre Dame Cathedral, contemplate the long history of Remains Mulberry Harbour, examine the collection at Musee du debarquement, and explore the world behind art at Musee de la Tapisserie de Bayeux.

Traveling by combination of train and flight from Carcassonne Center to Bayeux takes 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and flight; or drive. Traveling from Carcassonne Center in June, things will get slightly colder in Bayeux: highs are around 24°C and lows about 12°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 6th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Perros-Guirec.
