Iceland's southernmost village, Vik, sports some of the country's wildest and most dramatic coastline.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Thu): take in the dramatic scenery at Skogafoss, then take in the dramatic natural features at Mýrdalsjökull, then take in the dramatic natural features at Sólheimajökulll, and finally trot along with a tour on horseback. On the 6th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: enjoy the sand and surf at Reynisfjara Beach, look for gifts at Wool Gallery Vik i Myrdal, then enjoy the sand and surf at Black Sand Beach, and finally pause for some photo ops at Voyages Friendship Statue.

Often referred to as Iceland's second city, Akureyri offers an array of cultural attractions in a scenic setting.
Start off your visit on the 9th (Mon): look for gifts at Flora, Akureyri, steep yourself in history at Matthiasarhus, then admire the natural beauty at Arctic Botanical Gardens (Lystigardurinn), and finally see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour. Reykjavik, the world's most northerly capital, effortlessly combines small-town charm with heaps of big city energy.
Get outdoors at Thingvellir National Park and Reykjadalur Hot Springs. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Nature & Wildlife Tours and Kotstrandarkirkja. Go for a jaunt from Reykjavik to Selfoss to see Horseback Riding Tours about 1h 15 min away.
