Well-known for the beautiful views of its famous Promenade des Anglais waterfront, Nice is an ethnically-diverse coastal port city on the French Riviera and the fifth most populated city in France.
You'll explore and learn at Musee d'Art Moderne Et d'Art Contemporain and Villa & Jardins Ephrussi de Rothschild. Get a sense of the local culture at Vieille Ville and St Nicholas Cathedral. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Nice: Eglise de Biot (in Biot), Plage de Gigaro (in La Croix-Valmer) and Chateau de la Napoule / Musee Henry-Clews (in La Napoule-Plage). With a long history of producing regional wines since the Romans brought grapevines here during the first century, so many people consider Bordeaux to be the wine capital of the world.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Andre Voulgre's museum and Musee d’Art et d’Archeologie du Perigord. Get a sense of the local culture at Chateau Belingard and Chateau Lestevenie. Amboise is a commune in the Indre-et-Loire department in central France. Chateau de Chambord and Le Chateau du Clos Luce - Parc Leonardo da Vinci will appeal to history buffs. Museum-lovers will appreciate Chateau de Chenonceau and Chateau Royal d'Amboise. When in Amboise, make a side trip to see Chateau de Cheverny in Cheverny, approximately 48 minutes away.
