A sprawling metropolis and center for research, Daejeon stands as the fifth largest city in South Korea.
Kick off your visit on the 26th (Sun): hike along Daechungho Obaekri-Gil, engage your brain at National Science Museum, don't miss a visit to Daeheungdong Culture and Art Road, then take a stroll through Banseok Station Cafe Street, and finally look and learn at Daejeon Observatory. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of Wolmyeongdong, then delve into the lush surroundings at Jangtaesan Natural Forest, then make a trip to Mokcheokgyo Bridge, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Gyejoksan Mountain Red Clay Trail.

Seoul to Daejeon is an approximately 1.5-hour train ride. You can also drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Seoul in May, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be slightly colder in Daejeon, with lows of 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 28th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Jeonju.
