Start off your visit on the 15th (Mon): wander the streets of Marchen Intersection, see the interesting displays at Otaru Museum, Bank of Japan, then steep yourself in history at The Site of Temiya Line, then take a stroll through Otaru Miyakodori Shopping District, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at Tomioka Catholic Church. Drive from Otaru to Noboribetsu in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or do a combination of bus and train. Traveling from Otaru in April, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be a bit cooler in Noboribetsu, with lows of 3°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 17th (Wed) so you can go by car to Hakodate.
